Blue light discount being being applied

I signed up for a deal on 'the biggest bundle' via the blue light card website and all looked good until i got a phone call from a VM rep telling me I had to pay an extra £31 for the extras already included in the bundle (sky sports, netflix, sky cinema). She told me the extras were included in the bundle but the bundle cost was now £81 and not £64 which is what I signed up for. She applied these changes as I misunderstood what she was saying on the phone. I feel like I was tricked into this. I then spent most of the morning on a chat with someone who couldn't open any of the links I was sending to verify the original offer. Eventually he said he'd apply a rolling credit to the account to bring it back down to £64, but the contract drawn up says £69 now. It's this a scam? Why did the original operative not recognise the blue light card discount when it was correct on all the pre contact paperwork? What should have been very simple has turned into a bit of a saga - unnecessarily so.

Don’t forget you can cancel within 14 days.  Is the offer still available on the Blue Light site?

  • Yeah I would cancel now under your 14 day cooling off period or else have a word with Citizens Advice about VM's "bait and switch marketing" here which is arguably illegal. You could also report the offer to the Advertising Standards Authority as a complaint.

  • Hello KH82.

Thanks for your first post and welcome to our community.
Sorry to hear you're having an issue with the add ons in your package
I'd like to investigate this for you and see what's happened
If you don't mind, I'll need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check the envelope at the top right of your screen that would be great.
