Is this the direct debit date?
You should be able to change this as long as this is not your first bill, what errors are you getting?

It's not my first bill, but I've been with Virgin for several years. As my message always seems to cause some confusion, let me elaborate for clarity. I am referring to the DAY THE PAYMENT IS DUE TO COME OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT. I want to change the PAYMENT DATE to be on or around the 1st of each month.
Every time I tried to change this online, I got an error message. In the end, I gave up and set up a Standing order.
I've recently contacted you to renew my services but forgot to mention the payment date to the operator, so thought I could try and change it online. Still unable to do it.

Just to confirm, what is it that you're clicking on exactly before getting that error message?
