Been really worried about my upgrade options recently and VM haven't helped....

Hi all!

I got a great deal with virgin media by posting on here before so i figured i'd do it again. I logged onto my account to check my bill and got very excited to see a personalised message to me.

"Your contracts coming to an end 05/02/2026 but dont worry we've got a trunk load of black friday deals for you!"

I realised my contract was coming up that soon so i clicked it hoping to see some good offers available. what am i presented with?

"OOPS SORRY ABOUT THAT!!" some sort of error message

So now i'm panicking about the fact my bills are going to shoot up in february then i thought it was later. I'm nervous about the cost of living as it is currently. You then me great black friday offers and your website yet again just collapses in on itself. why even advertise upgrades or renewals on your website when you know your website for the last 5 or 6 years has not been able to process it?

Thanks VM you've just depressed me. i just dont know where to go for help at this point and i'm so stressed out

    Knows their stuff

If a VM contract is the worst of your worries, youre not doing bad in life!

Cancellation is the best way to get a good deal.  However you may not want be tied up to them for 2 years. You could stay out of contract, just a month at a time whilst you consider options, and/or downgrade your services to cut costs. You don't have to 'renew'.

I'd worry more about climate change and Putin tbh.
