Account primary email is not know. To me

Hi, I have been attempting to link my virginmedia account to the new virgin o2 id- on doing so it says it will request permission from an email (hotmail) and for me to type that email in full. This email isn’t known to me and I can’t recall having any hotmail accounts, how can this be changed to one I actually have as I can’t login to see it and amend it

    We're sorry to hear you're having issues with accessing the unknown hotmail email address. This is the email address you would have used when creating your ID. 

    We're not able to change this so please call the team on 150 / 0345 454 1111 so they can help with amending the address to one you do know and have access to.

      Hello: I have been 'contacting the team' for the last four weeks to solve just this problem for me but get nothing other than that it's 'under investigation'.

      Perhaps 'the team' should just fix this endemic fault...?
