Account linked to another email address

I recently signed up for VM broadband. I got an email asking to sign up for my virgin media o2. I have made an account and then tried linking my virgin media account that I have set up to this. It says that it has found the account but it is linked to another email. But I am receiving emails regarding the broadband to that very email. 

Please can someone help?

    I got the same problem as you and cannot find any solution. 

    I can't even view my bill now. Please help.

    Welcome to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your online account at the moment. 

    You can receive emails without having an online account setup, have you previously registered for a Virgin Media online account before being asked to created a Virgin Media O2 id.

      Hi Steven,

      no I have not previously signed up. When I signed up for VM for broadband, this is the email I used. So I’m unsure on why it’s saying the account is linked to a different account.

      Please could you help?

  • I am having the exact same problem I have never signed up to virgin I have an o2 sim but it’s linked to the same email I am trying to use for virgin I am having tv and broadband installed on Friday and I want to get this sorted before that happens I’ve already maxed out my number of attempts for several days now i can’t view anything at all

  • I've been trying to set my mother in law up on virgin and trying to link the account to get her online on the app on her phone, but also getting the same problem - and now locked out until after midnight.

    Not happy with virgin at the moment as also been "conned" into a stream box when wanted 360 recording box and nothing on the sign up page said that this was now the "norm" - 200 plus channels which I presumed were the same as my set up with a 360 box.

    Now she'll have to make do with adverts on ITV x streaming etc and I know that's going to annoy the hell out of them. I advised them to try virgin and referred them so makes me look stupid now too.

    Have always been supportive of virgin but now getting to be a regular common thread in these posts as to poor customer service etc.
