2025 price increases

Hi, as anyone heard what the price increases will be in April  2025? O2 have informed me that whatever airtime you are on it will  increase by £1.80.I think they have to be up front now with actual price and not on expected inflation figures

    Hi impy1

    Info below is from /news.virginmediao2.co.uk/introducing-our-new-pounds-and-pence-pricing-structure/

    Virgin Media

New and re-contracting Virgin Media broadband customers will receive a flat price increase each year, effective in April, of £3.50 a month – equivalent to less than 12p a day. This will not apply to customers taking social tariffs, who will continue to be exempt from price changes as part of our ongoing efforts to support those who need it most.

    O2

O2 customers will see the cost of their airtime plans increase by £1.80 a month – around 6p a day – effective each April. This will continue to only apply to airtime plans, with the cost of handset repayments frozen.

Hmmm. Using today's inflation figure of 2.3% and all other things being equal my back of the envelope jottings point to me being roughly £25 down with the new Ofcom-mandated price rise system compared with the traditional RPI+ method. Anyone else finding similar detriment?

suck it and up and get paying OR leave and go elsewhere like an MVNO that has a decent reputation. O2 are letting people exit contracts penalty free if they write to you about the change. Don't rely on Ofcom to do anything, they are about as good as a chocolate fireguard - an unelected quango.

Don't think I said I was not paying the increase! Just wondered what virgin media was doing about thier annual increase because new contracts advertised at the moment are still saying inflation linked price
