Problem with Virgin Media Community verification emails

I am reporting here a problem I encountered that appears similar to that reported here two years ago:

Virgin Media Community verification emails do not go through to @yahoo.com domain | Virgin Media Community - 5497346

It appears to not just be a problem with specific domains, but wider than this.

I attempted to reset the password for an old forum account (from 5 years ago) and the email from the Virgin Media Community forum software did not come through to that email domain (Gmail).

I then tried registering a new account. But the verification email failed to come through (Gmail). I then tried a different email domain for the verification email (Topmail). Still no luck.

I then tried registering a third account (sorry, will tidy up) and a different email domain (Outlook.com). That initially failed but eventually come through quite late (a few hours later).

I had by this time used my work email address (not disclosing here, obviously) which did work. Was not happy to have to do that. It seems that the software Virgin Media use for their Community Forum notifications and verifications emails is not working very well, or being rejected by lots of email domains. This is not ideal. It has caused quite a bit of stress "waiting" for the missing verification emails to arrive, and not being able to ask for help about that!

I suspect a lot of people are trying to register on these forums to get help, but then giving up.
