is phone call re sign up with virgin media geniune? how do i verify

also had email with proposed contract but i have not as yet supplied any bank details as wary its a scam

    I'm sorry to hear there is some hesitancy with the legitimacy of your sign-up with us. We do have Sales Teams who make outbound calls (and visits) to discuss our latest deals available.

      This sequence, of new contract sign-up producing dodgy-looking follow up messages shortly afterwards is still happening today (and it seems it has been for 5 years at least).  What 'additional' information can Virgin possibly need?  I've had a contract with them for at least 15 years!!!  And why not say what that information is?  They really are the worst firm to deal with ... ๐Ÿ˜ž

        Thanks for reaching out to us. Apologies for the issues that you have been having with your contract. Please can you elaborate further into how the contact was made and what was offered along with any email evidence or contact numbers. 

        If they are asking questions relating to Data Protection, this is to be done to ascertain that we are talking to the account holder.
