Delete old ntlworld accounts

Hi there

I left Virgin Media over 5 years ago and was told my old email accounts would be deleted within 90 days.  I have 3 different accounts and all are still active but have been hacked.

I am unable to log into any of them to try to get them deleted as I no longer have a Virgin Media account, so is there a way I can get this done some other way?  I see lots of others have had this very issue, have you had it resolved?

    As this is a Community Forum, and not a direct line to VM as such, it will take a day or two for a VM Mod to pick this up.   I had this done some time ago. and it took around 10 days to complete the deletion.

      Thanks Adduxi, good to know it was solved, I'm obviously not in any hurry as this has been ongoing for 5 years ;-)

    I seem to still be having problems with my accounts despite numerous individuals trying to help me.  I keep being asked to go through security on an account that was closed 5 years ago.  

    For those that managed to get their issue resolved, can you give me any tips as to how you got this sorted?

    Can anyone help?  I have been asked multiple times to go through security and as my account was closed over 5 years ago I can't answer the 'how much was your last bill' and 'how much is your next bill' type questions?

    Do I have to wait the 8 weeks for this to be unresolved and then go to CISAS to get it resolved?

    Any advice welcome.  So frustrating when all I'm asking Virgin Media to do is to do what they said they would do with my email accounts over 5 years ago.

      Thanks for reaching out again and I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble passing the security check with us. Unfortunately, we are required to pass the security check in order to take any action on our customers accounts in line with the Data Protection Act which is why it's important we do so.

      As you've mentioned that you're having trouble with the secondary questions specifically, would you be happy for me to send you a private message so we can explore our other options?
