Child Safe into working
Child safe is not working. It is showing as switched on, but nothing is being blocked. Please can you advise?

Child Safe is best turned OFF & kept OFF !
When ON it will prevent access to Office VPN, Zoom + Teams & the like, a wide range of Social Media, many TV Streaming & Catch Up services, many commercial websites etc etc ... for all devices.I’m pretty sure I had it turned on in my old house and it was fine. Just to have website filtering mainly, not social media stuff.
there’s loads of people on here reporting the same issue, but then being sent a PM explaining something. But they never explain what the content of the PM is about! What’s the fix?
Hi Zach, what should it matter, as to which parts I am trying to block. The whole system is clearly a mess. I see that more people are posting daily that they’re not being able to turn it on.
for what it matter, I have attempted to block just certain things like nudity etc. and tested by searching for “nude” as suggested by another person with the same issue, and wow…. Since when has “nude” not related to a work of art, but instead related to xxx websites etc. is that Google profiling my account as a 45 year old dad?!!
how do I get it to work? It’s been days and hasn’t started working as it did for some other people.
I’ve now tried resetting my wifi router back to factory and it still hasn’t done anything.perhaps I have to try now turning safety on again.

It matters and I ask because I want to first understand what you're hoping to be blocked would fall under what ChildSafe would block. Without knowing that first I cannot advise further on why you may be experiencing a problem.
So, to clarify, is it blocking relevant sites but not Google Image search results? Again, understanding what you're trying to block and what is/isn't blocked is important.

On some pages I do get this message when attempting to click on the page. Such as a gun shop or this adult site. But if I go to Google images it allows very Inappropriate images to be shown. Especially if safe search is turned off. The whole point is that it should restrict images to being safe even if a child/teenager/adult turns off safe search.
is Virgin Media simply incompetent? I’d like to know what other people experience when they say that safe search did manage to turn on and work.
