Hi Zach, what should it matter, as to which parts I am trying to block. The whole system is clearly a mess. I see that more people are posting daily that they’re not being able to turn it on.
for what it matter, I have attempted to block just certain things like nudity etc. and tested by searching for “nude” as suggested by another person with the same issue, and wow…. Since when has “nude” not related to a work of art, but instead related to xxx websites etc. is that Google profiling my account as a 45 year old dad?!!
how do I get it to work? It’s been days and hasn’t started working as it did for some other people.
I’ve now tried resetting my wifi router back to factory and it still hasn’t done anything.
perhaps I have to try now turning safety on again.
Hi Bushez,
It matters and I ask because I want to first understand what you're hoping to be blocked would fall under what ChildSafe would block. Without knowing that first I cannot advise further on why you may be experiencing a problem.
So, to clarify, is it blocking relevant sites but not Google Image search results? Again, understanding what you're trying to block and what is/isn't blocked is important.
Thanks,

Thanks. Yes it seems to sort of block some site but doesn’t give the proper message to explain that it’s blocking them. But most importantly it doesn’t seem to do anything for Google images.
if I turn off the internet and use mobile data, sure enough the mobile network filter functions correctly and then filters Google images and prevents turning off the safe search filter.- Zoie_P2 years agoForum Team (Retired)
Hi Bushez,
I am sorry to hear this, when it comes to Google images, it will show whatever a person has tagged to that word, are all other sites blocked and is it just google images you are having issues with? Google does have its own safe search option if this helps?
Thanks,Zoie

That doesn’t really help unfortunately because safe search on Google images can be turned off. I refuse to believe that Virgin media are not capable of simply filtering inappropriate images. I’m sure that my member of parliament would have an opinion on the subject. Especially as the mobile networks seem to be able to filter images easily. (If not perfectly). I would be interested to know what other people have found to be the case with Virgin media and Google images.
If Virgin does not have a better option then I will have to wait and see if city fibre does a better job. Or wait for 5g coverage to improve near me. In which instance I will be expecting Virgin to end my contract early if I request to do that because they are failing to meet a good enough standard.
