Fibre optic cable damaged by a grabber truck
My brother has a strange incident happen. He is in the middle of renovating his property, and on Christmas day, he received a very irate message from his neighbour saying that a grab truck had cut his internet.
My brother called community fibre on behalf of the neighbour and they could see there was a fault with the line, and they would get someone out to fix it ASAP.
Question is, in this situation, anything on the outside of the ONT is the responsibility of the ISP?
I note virgin done charge for faults where a line has been cut by a mower etc.
If this is fixed at no fee for the neighbour then my brother will just send a small gift as a gesture of good will, otherwise he will reimburse the neighbour and deduct it from the builder.
What does the group think?
