"Invalid email" when trying to link O2 account to Virgin Media
I have recently started a broadband contract and I need to manage my account as my installation date is coming up soon. When I registered for my virgin media, it keeps forcing my to link it to my O2 Virgin account ( I guess because I used to have an O2 account for my phone contract that was merged into an o2 VM Account) After entering my account number and area code, it shows me a message saying "The virgin media account we found doesn't make the email on your VM O2 account, please enter the email you used on your VM account to link them". I don't know what virgin media account it's trying to link to by I've only held 3 email addresses in my life years and I've tried them all. Also I'm not sure which VM account it's referring to because I think it used to hold one in uni for broadband, and one on an old virgin media phone contract. Or does it mean this one I literally tried to set up for this new broadband? I have been trying this every day for a week because after 5 attempts it blocks for 24 hours! I can't unlink them, I just have to come up with this email address that apparently was on an old VM account but I don't know it or the system is broken. How do I go forward from here and set up my my virgin media account? Can someone please message me.19Views0likes1CommentUnable to link VM / O2 Accounts
Like many others, this is my last resort. I'm a returning customer (Well over five years since I've dealt with Virgin media, now I remember why I switched in the first place...) Eager to get on and change preferences such as eBlilling, however, despite multiple days & countless attempts.. I've attempted changing my email address so many times, I've created burner emails. Etc etc. Nothing has worked, every single swapped email has been triple checked I'm also using the account number provided by the first bill I've received as well as the area code.. Supposedly, according to the top moderation post, this issue has been fixed, but clearly that isn't the case, or they have an email address on file that I haven't touched since I left the service many years ago. Can I please get this resolved as a matter of urgency, over a week now I've tried to resolve this myself & none of the information through any platform (Including the forums themselves.) Have been any help.Creating an app password for a secondary account.
Hello, I have a blueyonder email address and want to set it up on my new phone on the Outlook app. I cannot see a way of accessing the app password with the new O2 sign in system. My account is a secondary account - my father is the main account holder. I can log into "my virgin media" on my laptop. I click account settings, then virgin media mail settings. This takes me through to my Virgin Media O2 ID settings. When I click manage linked accounts, there is no option to change my app password, instead, it only says "add your virgin media account". If I go through this process, it attempts to transfer the main account to me, rather than adding my secondary account. If we log into the main account, it only lets you change the app password of the main email address, rather than any of the secondary email addresses. Any assistance would be gratefully received!New package deal
I agreed to a new deal and have a few questions. when will my virgin media update to show the new package? I am waiting for the new router to come as I’m switching from 350mb to 1gb speed. I did receive an email saying my new package includes 1gb and removed the 350mb package. i specifically asked whether the annual price increase would apply to me or will my charge remain the same for the full 18 months and was told it will stay the same and no need to worry about the annual price increases. The contract doesn’t state this though, it shows the price increases, I need clarification. will my o2 sim that I got as part of the bundle automatically show up on my virgin media app? When I try to add, it doesn’t have an add existing sim option. I have received and activated the sim and also logged into the myO2 app I was told that I will get 3 months Disney plus subscription free and £2 off the subscription thereafter however I have not been told how to activate this is there anywhere to find contact numbers to speak to someone when there’s issues? appreciate any help290Views0likes6CommentsPlease can someone help me with my order and email address
Hi all, I have been having an issue with my order and my email. I'm out of contract for my virgin media plan and when I try to put an order through, the confirmation is sent to the wrong email address that I can't change. I don't get any confirmation email and I don't know if the order has went through. My o2 tariff has randomly removed the volt benefits like a new order is going through but I'm still on my old plan. If it helps, my order reference is XS1000143135. Thank you3.9KViews0likes0CommentsContract mid-sold
Contacted Virgin as my contract was coming to an end. I wanted a bigger bundle but the offers were poor. Somehow got talked into taking out 1Gb broadband and 02 together for £64 per month. I was previously on an ok deal of about £30 for broadband per month. Since they issued the 1gb box I’ve had two engineers out to get it working and it’s still not providing speeds any better than what I previously paying for at half the price. On top of that 02 data is rubbish in my City and non existent at my place of work which I was also told was good. Somehow virgin don’t recognise this a breach of contract. Worse yet the pods provided to get the previous broadband to work need upgrading to work with the 1Gb box which an agent admitted to me 3 months after contacting about a string of issues. The two engineers who visited got speeds to work of course on their apps while in the house only to drop to zero by magical misfortune after leaving. I’m outraged with Virgin Service robbing my account for poor service and as always they threaten debt collection if I suggest I’m leaving due to pathetic service unless I pay a massive fee to end their contract.6.6KViews0likes4CommentsO2 Billing Issues
Hi there, In June 2021 I started a contract which included M250 fibre broadband and a 5GB Oomph SIM, I chose to take the offer with the SIM as it ended up being cheaper at the time than to not take the SIM. I never used or activated that SIM. With the recent O2 merger, I received a new SIM which I also didn't activate or use, I promptly put it somewhere (potentially even threw away because I didn't think I would need it). A while back I received a bill and a notice of disconnection from O2, at the time I assumed it was a scam because I forgot about the merger. I've tried to call O2 to pay my bill, but they won't let me (more precisely, they won't tell me how much I owe) because I don't know the phone number associated to the SIM and I can't provide any other details relevant to the SIM (failed security). For similar reasons, I cannot pair my VM and O2 accounts, or set up an O2 community account to post in their forums. Interestingly, the second and final physical bill I received from O2 was in November 2023 - besides that I've got all the necessary info such as account numbers, billing numbers etc, just no phone number! If someone could assist it would be greatly appreciated! PS: Had to post this in the account-cable thread because account-mobile is now read only!416Views0likes1CommentRe: Being charged for SIM when have moved over to O2
hi team new to the community. I too am being charged for an O2 sim taken our as part of Oomph deal. WHY? it was intended to be free and to cover the frequent drops in broadband. I can’t afford the hike in package as well as a new £25 monthly mobile bill.427Views0likes2Comments
