Drop in speed from Hub 3 as router to TP Link
Hi all, I have VM 250Mbps package with Hub 3. When using the hub as router I am getting 250Mbps+ speeds, no issues. When using my TP Link C7 AC1750 router and Hub 3 in Modem <ode, the WiFi speed drops to 100Mbps. I am using good quality (based on reviews?) ethernet cable to link the two (Cat7). TP Link C7, I believe, has sufficiently fast internet port to take the 250Mmps from Hub 3, so this shouldn't be an issue either. I also have 3x mesh devices (TP Link RE450), but I don't thinks that's relevant here. What do I need to do to get my TP Link router do 250Mbps, instead of the 100Mbps..?420Views0likes22CommentsHub 3 with TP-Link TL-WPA7517 Powerline Adaptor
I've just installed the TP-Link TL-WPA7517 powerline kit onto my Hub 3 network (using the same SSIDs) and everything is working pretty well. However it seems to have caused the Hub 3 to get confused about what devices are connected to the network, both in the VM Connect app, and when accessing the web interface for the Hub admin. Some WiFi devices are showing as Ethernet connections (when they don't even have an Ethernet port), and my laptop showed as an Ethernet connection when I've never used it cabled and it wasn't even turned on! Are there any recommended settings for using the TL-WPA7517 with Virgin Hub 3, e.g. turn off power saving, fix the IP address, fix WiFi channels etc.? Is the mis-reporting of connected devices anything to worry about? Thanks.Solved410Views0likes3CommentsTP Link Power line Adapter won't WPS pair with Virgin Hub
Devices: Virgin Hub 3 and TP-LINK WPA4220 The power line Adapter works fine for Ethernet however the built in wifi range extender won't connect to the Hub 3.0 with WPS. I know the WPS isn't faulty on the hub as the tv box was set up using WPS yesterday and I know the TP-LINK isn't faulty as it worked a couple of days ago at my old place. Is this a known issue with TP-Link extenders or am I doing something wrong?5.9KViews0likes8CommentsHub 5 in modem mode
Hi, I have a full mesh system in the house and a HUB 5 that when I put into modem mode I get no internet connection what so ever from any port. Mesh is setup up correctly with dynamic IP but it just won't find any connection to the internet at all. Mesh is Tp-link Deco XE 75 I'm only connecting one ethernet cable to the hub while in modem mode Any help would be appreciated. Thanks9.4KViews0likes7CommentsHive Hub won't connect to Internet
We had a Virgin broadband outage for most of Saturday, and since then the Hive hub wont connect to the Internet. We get a constantly flashing green light, which means it's trying to get an Internet connection. Our internet connection is working though, generally 40mbs - yes it's slow but is quite normal for us. I tried resetting the hub, via a paperclip, but this didnt make the Hive hub connect. I have Virgin Hub3 in modem mode, connected to a TP-Link wireless mesh via an ethernet cable. The TP-Link network sees the Hive Hub. Any ideas what Virgin changed during the broadband outage?Solved26KViews0likes49Comments
