Moving our omnibox/incoming service to the side of the house
We had Virgin broadband intalled last year when we moved in but have realised that it's in a bit of a daft spot as there's no power for the router/wifi AP in that corner of the room, and that leaves us with a 3m extension lead trailing through the lounge. I also want to try and run ethernet through the house and think it could be easier through the cupboard under the stairs as the airing cupboard is roughly above it and we can hide cabling that way. The easiest way to solve both our issues is to move where the services come in to the side of the house, directly the other side of the cupboard. Would it be doable? The total distance around the corner of the house is less than 10m. One complication is that our consumer unit & associated electrical board are on the other side of that wall and I'm not sure how much wiring will be hidden in the immediate vicinity.Moving to a new residential and transferring VM Broadband
My daughter has traditional DOCSIS VM Broadband in Edinburgh and wishes to relocate for at least 6 months to a property in England which we own. This is in a very recent XGS-PON Cabled area and has a brand new connection box in the street outside the property. My question is can she get her VM broadband connection relocated to her proposed location and would she have to pay to get the fibre brought into the property ? new 24 month contract perhaps ?5.9KViews0likes2Comments
