As you say, it could be the type of traffic being dropped. Jumping in game now, will leave the trace route running in the background. The issue has been apparent quickly in game over the weekend. Re: Packet loss in R6 Siege ModTeam just messaged to report that the issue is fixed. I see CoolNerdDude reports a fix too. Things are looking good to me. Not seeing any dropped packets in my trace route, or in PUBG PC game metrics. Xbox connection test looks good too. Re: Packet loss ModTeam just messaged to report that the issue is fixed. Re: Packet loss Interesting, I could see connections in Resource Monitor to AWS and Azure from PUBG. I was having trouble differentiating between core game and match servers. Re: Packet loss ModTeam have messaged me for information, which I've provided. CoolNerdDude advises that issues with xCloud are being investigated https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Networking-and-WiFi/Virgin-Broadband-packet-loss/m-p/5439934#M567633 I had issues in work this morning with my Teams Meetings experiencing packet loss ~20%. Contacted Microsoft support who advised there was an issue with Virgin Media in London. If anything, it seems a bit better this afternoon, still seeing some packet loss. Will test more later this evening. Re: Packet loss I've contacted support and gone through the usual checks (reset hub etc.). It's clear where the connection is degrading with trace route. I didn't have any traction with escalation, hoping someone can escalate from this and other threads. As is, support have asked me to contact them in 72 hours if the issue persist. They'll want to send a technician then. Extract from trace route. | Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | |------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | telw-ic-5-ae0-0.network.virginmedia.net - 0 | 123 | 123 | 11 | 15 | 46 | 23 | | virginmedia.ier03.lon32.ntwk.msn.net - 11 | 89 | 80 | 13 | 18 | 46 | 17 | | ae29-0.icr01.lon24.ntwk.msn.net - 11 | 89 | 80 | 14 | 20 | 38 | 17 | I reckon it's an issue with peering between Virgin and Microsoft judging from the hostnames. (Telehouse West?) Re: Packet loss in R6 Siege I've posted in another thread, noticeable packet loss on Xbox connection test and in game (PUBG PC). From trace route, it seemed the game server was likely hosted in Azure. The connection seems to degrade between telw-ic-5-ae0-0.network.virginmedia.net (62.253.174.186) and virginmedia.ier03.lon32.ntwk.msn.net (104.44.14.51). Increase in packet loss it apparent past this point. Re: Virgin Broadband packet loss Adding to this (and cross posting) as seeing similar for past two days (10 and 11 Nov). Packet loss to Azure/msn.net for PUBG on PC. Measured packet loss was ~14%, varies in game and results in network lag reported in game. Tested on the Xbox after seeing this, that is reporting similar levels of packet loss on the connection test.
