I had a 2018 or 2019 Philips tv and had the same issue. After looking into it it was due to older tech ultimately. Changed my tv in 2024 and bingo loads brighter. It's not a tv setting as such it is the 'NITs' that determines how bright your tv can go with UHD/HDR content. The key part to that statement on the email I have received today is needs. Apart from all the great things I would lose if I converted to 360 I have 2 very full boxes which I would lose all my recordings. That has been my main reason why I have not converted before now. I have read the email carefully and it obviously sells it as being a great move if we converted but I see no mention of say a date I have to do this by as if we are being forced into it or anything. I am getting this and actually put it down to my soundbar which I know is on it's way out but then found if I use a fire stick content through that is fine so it is a Virgin thing only. From the first game of the season Arsenal v Nottingham Forest right upto and including tonights Europa final the TNT Sports UHD ch.531 has had a stuttering fault which many have reported and nothing has ever been fixed. About a month ago now I ordered a new V6 remote through the website help and it arrived free of charge. Unfortunately it seems to be a completely dead remote as I have used the batteries supplied and some new I have and it is doing nothing not even lighting up. I try to follow the same route to order another new one but it says as you have recently had a new remote we will charge you £9.99 for this extra one. I do have 2 V6 boxes so completely plausible they fail at the same time but anyway I go the route of the online chat. I go through all the checks even to the point they ask me for the serial number of my bedroom box which is the one with the broken remote (which was hard to get and see) and they say a new one is on the way free of charge. I am now at least 2 weeks later and not a thing unlike the one I ordered myself where I got a shipping notification email and updates. Can someone please send me a new working V6 remote please? I have had this issue all along with SKY Sports UHD and is unusable as it just freezes for so long. I expected as much that the buffer/box just can't cope with it. Luckily we tend to only use it when live. The odd occasion you leave it on 1 of the tuners and you want to go back to see a goal or something you have no chance it's complete guess work as to where to stop it916Views0likes0CommentsRe: Live EAFA champions league not showing on TNT Sports Ultimate
Usually it is down to the host broadcaster. So when there is a UK match TNT take their 4K cameras along and you get the match but as both of them were 'foreign' games last night then I guess there was not a 4K feed available for TNT to show. There will be 1 tonight as Man City are at home. Same applies to the UEFA games. It's not been the first time there has been no UHD showing. EDIT:- Just to add as to why it was scheduled on there is a Virgin issue I guess or perhaps duff info from TNT if BT had the same EPG issue.868Views0likes0Comments
