ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Sudden increase in new emails Hi Adduxi I've logged into my MVM account and the same issue is showing. All old read emails from last 3 years have been marked as unread. Oddly using Sort if I search "Unread" and "Ascending" it is showing my read emails starting from yesterday (there's about 30 from yesterday and today still unread/unopened). If I select "Unread" and "Descending" they show all from today and includes thousands of emails that have been read/opened stopping, thankfully, at April 2022. So it's only gone back and reanimated read/opened emails for the last 3 years, rather than going all the way back to when my account was opened about 15 years ago. Re: Sent emails disappeared I have a similar issue but opposite problem, 3000 old emails appeared unopened in my inbox, and many others deleted appeared in Junk, Sent and Drafts. And all emails in in-box between end of Sept 24 and today are missing. I have posted as separate topic but no reply from Virgin yet. Re: Sudden increase in new emails Hi Adduxi Thanks for reaching out. I’m not 100% certain what you mean; but will attempt to answer. It’s my blueyonder account that I’ve been using for many many years on my MVM account and have access to on my iPad and Android Phone. Those on the two devices have the unique app password generated in my MVM for access. I have not actually logged into my MVM account directly yet, as concerned an email sent might contain a various and do not want to expose account details or PC to it. But will do so later. All have been ok until about 10:45 this morning when my in-boxes, junk, draft went bezerk reanimating deleted emails marking them as unopened, with emails missing in my inbox between this morning and 30th Sept. I’m tempted and see if anything overnight re. the servers sorts it. Re: Sudden increase in new emails Update on issue above.New emails from 10:45am today 11th Feb are showing (around time issue started) and then list starts again at 30th Sept 2024 going back who knows how far with about 3000 emails all unopened. There are emails in between those dates not showing that have some important info in them. I did delete account from iPad and add it back on and that didn’t solve issue. Any suggestions without having to contact the dreaded help desk? From previous experiences over many years it is something I really want to avoid as the customer experience and their product knowledge is terrible. Sudden increase in new emails My in box has just started to show a rapid increase of new emails in the last few minutes increasing from about 50 to over 3000 in a few minutes and rising, same for my junk and my sends. It appears all old opened and deleted emails including those in junk are being reanimated and showing as unopened This showing on all devices, iPad and Android phone. Is there a known issue with email accounts today causing this to happen? Re: No Signal from 2nd v6 box Thanks. Tried the second box downstairs and no signal being output. My guess is HDMI socket on V6 might be the issue. Looks like I’ll have to call the helpline and be told to turn it off and on and a whole load of other stuff and nonsense before someone acknowledges the box needs replacing. No Signal from 2nd v6 box There is no signal going to the TV from my 2nd V6 box upstairs. i have checked all connections are tight and firmly in their sockets, tried changing HDMI port on TV, tried a different HDMI cable and repeated the process using a different TV with no joy. The power light is on, and I can see the box and access its recordings on V6 box downstairs. Suggestions please. Re: Email Issues Yes. Having issues. Not great. I’m expecting some important time critical emails in addition to needing to install some software and need access to license keys sent via email. Re: Loss of Email - F010762348 If this was planned maintenance and was known about days or even weeks in advance then I’m very disappointed at the lack of notice, I received email received about 6:30pm announcing it in the Birmingham area. In light of recent incidents over the last month or so involving numerous matters with on demand movies claiming I needed to be subscribed to access, unable to log into email accounts and then no access to emails I did anticipate there would be issues after the anticipated 6am completion time. What is happening at Virgin Media at the moment as it’s one problem after another at the moment? Re: 403 Forbidden on webmail (Again) Hi Steve I've just finished a call with customer support(?). I had this same issue for about a week and a half. I've now managed to access my account with thanks of a moderator on this Forum liaising with tech team on my behalf. I was advised to do the following: 1. Log in to VM account 2. Account Settings> Virgin Media Mail Account settings> Generate New App Password, copy and paste (make a note - you will also need to enter the final password generated to access your account on Android and Apple device) (do not select DONE)>go back a screen (arrow top left of screen). 3.Go to Account Settings>Password - copy and paste new password, save. Log out. 4 Repeats steps to 1 to 3 again two more times. (Remember make note of password generated by App) 5. Log in, access Virgin Media Mail from VM Account Dashboard. And fingers crossed all should work. Please note, I went back and changed my password in VM Account to one I could remember but still needed to enter the generated one to access my e-mails on iPad and Android phone. Hope this helps.
