I had to go through the whole process AGAIN, as I did on 28th Nov for the new Social Tariff, and was sent another contract for the social tariff. The agents would not talk about my overcharge refund, instead saying I must of been cut off - but I have a copy of the 28th Nov chat confirming the deal went through. This new Social Tariff is a monthly contract, so I would like to be refunded for the overcharge compensated for not receiving a speed upgrade on my original 18 month contract given a 'goodwill gesture' for Virgin's mistake for overcharging me on my new contract and having to wast hours of my time over several days trying to get this sorted Re: Broadband bill overcharge My discounted 18 month M350 broadband contract ended on 29th November 2025. When I got this broadband, part of the deal included free upgrade to next higher speed - this was never done despite my complaints. On 28th November 2025 - one day before my contract expired, I contact Virgin to say I wanted the Social Tariff - Essential broadband plus 54Mbps Fibre Broadband £20 a month, once my 18 month contract ended. I spoke with an agent online on 'Live Chat' who sorted this for me. He sent me an email with the new contract which was for £20/month plus £8/month for pods, so £28/month in total. I have the email with the new contract confirming the new deal and I also downloaded the chat with the agent confirming the deal went through. Instead of the new monthly charge of £28, I have been charged £63.52. Re: Broadband bill overcharge Thanks for your reply. Yes I did. I received an email. Broadband bill overcharge Hi, My 18 month broadband deal ended in November and before it did I changed to the monthly social tariff. Now I am being charged nearly 3 x more than I should be and I cannot get hold of an agent on live chat. Can anyone help? Thanks. Re: Help required applying volt benefits to broadband Can any other person help? Re: Help required applying volt benefits to broadband Thanks for your reply. Is it possible for me to apply broadband volt benefits through Virgin account? Re: Help required applying volt benefits to broadband Could a Forum Team member kindly help. Thanks Help required applying volt benefits to broadband Hi, I am an o2 and Virgin broadband customer and have renewed my broadband contract for another 18 months. I have M350 broadband and would like to have the volt benefit applied so it is increased to M500 for free. I would be grateful if a Forum Team member could help. Thank you kindly.
