The good news is we agreed a new contract, the bad news was that the chatroom closed unexpectedly as he asked me to confirm the new deal😐 Renegotiate a new contract I am trying to contact a human being to negotiate a new contract (or maybe leave). Last time I did it via a WhatsApp conversation (perfect) but this did not work this time (using original chat number). Going the 150 route was a nightmare and I gave up. Be awful to leave Virgin media because I could not chat to anyone either on the phone or via WhatsApp How to unpair two 360 boxes? When I renegotiated my contract some time ago, I was sent an extra TV 360 box which I didn't want as I only had one TV in the house. The engineer suggested he linked the second box to my first because then I could record 12 programmes instead of 6 (hardly ever record more than 2 at the same time!) In practice this worked and all recorded shows could be watched on either box which were sited next to each other. Then, I started to get problems with shows packing up mid way through watching with an error code. I decided to concentrate on one box and switched the other off but then this affected the remaining box. It would not record programmes or delete them until or unless I switched the second box on, albeit briefly. This is irritating so how can I unlink the boxes? Re: Netflix Just to clarify, is this Virgin that is billing you? Some packages (like mine) have Netflix thrown in for free. If you have never subscribed to Netflix and you are sure that someone has not (maybe inadvertently) added Netflix via an upgrade screen then obviously you are owed an apology and a full refund. Re: Blurred sky sports I didn't think VM still sold Sky Sports in SD, I only have the HD versions by defualt (UHD is extra but not really worth it). You are right, tennis is awful in SD, the net is just a fuzzy mess - in HD you can see the squares that make up the net. Keep pestering them! Re: Sky Sports UHD Yes, HDR/HLG is displayed briefly. Forgot to mention originally the situation is the same for TNT Ultimate. Sky Sports UHD I have a LG OLED tv and I have had Sky Sports UHD for a few months but the picture is not as good as the HD version in my opinion. When I scroll down from the INFO details on, for example a UHD football match, the quality reads "HD". When I am watching a UHD film from Sky Cinema, I scoll down the INFO page and the quality reads "4K". Do other readers have this discrepancy on their 360 boxes with Sports UHD? SolvedRe: Secret World of Sound with David Attenborough (Sky Nature) Thanks guys, got it, Sky Nature UHD is only available to Sky customers. I pay extra for Sky UHD though and there are plenty of Sky programmes available in UHD, the majority films on their various channels, but also stuff like Agatha Raisin (originally Sky One) which is available On Demand through the Sky UHD category on Virgin. Don't see why Secret World of Sound can't be added. Secret World of Sound with David Attenborough (Sky Nature) I have Virgin TV 360 and have Sky UHD. Adverts state that all epiosde are available in UHD but I cannot find a way to access this version. Usually you can get to it by opening up the Info page but there is no option to watch it in UHD. Can anyone help? SolvedRe: Bill rise more than 5% so thinking of cancelling As I understand it this depends on your contract. If you have updated recently you will have agreed to a yearly increase within that contract. Today The Office for National Statistics (ONS) confirmed RPI at 4.9%. Virgin Media O2 also adds 3.9% to the figure (Total 8.8%)!! If you now want to leave early they can bill you for the remainder of the contract. If you haven't signed a recent contract, you won't face a price increase until the contract expires when you will be free to leave without penalty providing you give 30 days' notice.
