Never have a problem with it, great apps on view, easy to get around, was thinking of going back to Sky a few months ago using Sky Stream Puck, got the box with a good deal (or so I thought) and the box refused to work GGrrrrrrrrrrr. So, I sent it back got my money back and now got a new deal with Virgin for the same monthly bill I was paying before with Sky Cinema thrown in. Sticking with Virgin for the next 18 months at least. Re: Landline not working Mine went down last week, Virgin engineer turned up today and fixed it: apparently all landlines should now be attached to Router rather than phone socket. This is due to a nationwide switchover from analogue to digital, BT and Openreach are doing the same. Landline Failure Just noticed my landline has failed. Recently, I had a Hub 5 Router installed a couple of weeks ago, could be a coincidence. My landline is still attached to outside line and not Hub 5. So, I am wondering if the connection has been accidentally switched off. I tried ringing it from my mobile and it goes straight to voicemail. Anyone else had the same problem?? Re: Letter Usually an email when your contract is coming to an end, which is what happened to me. I got it sorted though with a new contract. Good luck! New Contract Set Up in a Jiffy Hello all after an iffy start with a Virgin Customer Service advisor who eventually disconnected me due to the fact we could not understand each other, I rang back and luckily got a customer service who was brilliant. Without any faffing about he set me up in a new 18 month contract at the same price I am paying now, less Sky Sports etc which I did not need anyway but kept Sky Cinema at no extra cost to me. Now, I know there have been a lot of complaints about Virgin Customer Service, but this time I got a gem, a big thank you to whoever it was. Re: Price Increase Beyond My Means Hello after some thought I have decided to stay with Virgin, but will be cancelling Sky Sports, Sky Cinema and TNT Sports and will ask for a smaller TV Pack but keep the Broadband and Landline. After the discount period ends, the monthly fee goes through the roof well beyond my means and I am a State Pensioner. Anyone know what the monthly fee will be or thereabouts? I am hoping to reduce the bill by around £40 a month. I am hoping when I phone the services during the week I can get through easily and get sorted. Re: My hub has a solid red light. Engineer turned up the other day, router changed, all working fine, thank you. My hub has a solid red light. The other day I noticed that a permanent red light was showing on the Router; the internet is working fine so far, but reading through other comments, seems the red light may be caused by overheating and could be a fire risk. I have already tried switching it off and back on again and red light still shows. So, what can I do for now? Contact Virgin or maybe an advisor on the community pages may help? SolvedPrice Increase Beyond My Means Received an email the other day about my discount coming to an end soon and revealing the price increase. It was way beyond my current means so I am wondering whether just to cancel TV but keep Virgin Broadband and Landline. I am also wondering if Virgin offer pensioner packages at reasonable cost since I am 77 years old. Anyone know? Re: Price Increase Beyond My Means Thanks for the info much appreciated.
