I wonder when it will go live. I've had a glance through the update post, but nothing jumped out at me. Unable to start or add to threads in other subjects As per the title. I can't comment on other threads in the TV - V6 group or other groups. Any ideas why? Re: Green Screen - V6 I'm sorry for jumping in on this thread as well. I can't start my own. I got a green screen - I left it for about 45 minutes and all is back, well, that's what I thought. BUT, loads of previously watched programs have all returned and the series links have been recreated to record ALL new & repeated programs plus streaming programs as well as TV ones. Now we have to go through each one deleting the links, well, my wife is. Incidentally, this is the second time I've replied to this thread. Re: Starting a discussion elsewhere I can't see that. Re: Starting a discussion elsewhere Hi Markmywords. I'm in the same boat. Come one VM, what is going on. I'm having serious issues with my V6 box, I think it is "goosed", "cattle trucked", or maybe broken!! I want to start a thread under TV - V6 but can't so will just have to piggy back another thread. Re: Are Virgin abandoning Landlines? What happens when I get a power cut and need to call 999? No power, no ability to call BUT if I still had a PROPER landline, I could. Re: Moving From VM Hi Dark, You have my sympathy. I've been with VM since the Blueyonder days and have had a few occasions to think about jumping ship. I got a message about renewing contract so I had a gander and decided to do it last month. BUT. When I looked at the email about my next bill, it had gone from £75 something to £115 something. Wow, you're having a laugh aren't you VM. I eventually got through on the phone and quizzed the bod who answered why they had hiked up the price. It's because I hadn't renewed my contact. Bolox I said, as I have the confirmation emails here in front of me. He could see no record of the contract being renewed. After some chat, I extracted a better deal, faster b/band plus Sky Sports so I can watch Newcastle United away games. And I'm now paying £ 72 something for 2 years. I hope this gives you hope to negotiate a new deal. Re: Home Phone - line is dead Apologies, I just assumed VOIP is being used. The main issue I have is that I can't use the phones in the house where I wanted them. Hey ho, progress I guess, but that's life. It really is swings and roundabouts with VM at times. Some days are good, some bad in the way things work. Re: Home Phone - line is dead Hi, I had a similar issue. VM sent an engineer who plugged a bit of kit into the router and then the phone into the bit of kit. I don't have a landline now, as we used to have. I think I now use a phone via the router which is actually VOIP. But I still pay for a landline. Re: Are there any humans that work for VM And all is OK. Yes, I did get to speak to a fellow human and they have been able to check and advise.
