PAY for a decent connection then! Re: Cut cable - how long for connection to return after fixed? Virgin don't use Kelly Comms, that's BT network only. Your PC to router speed could be a limitation of the "Hub" that is used on the router itself, as they are a "Hub" and not a "Switch". Most likely though the cause is that you're probably using a 1Gig network adapter in your PC which if it is one of the on-board ones, it will never get true 1gbps, they do not have the ASICs on them that enterprise class cards have I can show you a screenshot of my 10Gbps network both ways if you really want to be.... VM is playdoh by comparison of a REAL Fibre ISP! Re: Broadband services in Haywards Heath - West Sussex (RH16) Does not suprise me.. TW laid cables here in 1998 - ran the fibre down but to this day it's never been turned on - there is FTTP here so they might as well just let it rot - and thank for messing up our pavements for nothing! Re: IPv6 support on Virgin media I forgot about PHORM - used it at the ISP I worked with in 2010 - god it was a pain in the arse and hated by all. The other option is BT which 100% does IPv6 and its only £5 more expensive for the same 1Gb link. okay you are getting confused? Ifdyou have a 1Gb link then you won't be on residential or paying peanuts - do you mean your computer shows as 1Gbps on the Ethernet card? Re: IPv6 support on Virgin media jeffsmith82 wrote: We are currently up for renewal and Virgin don't appear to offer IPv6 but if we go through a re-seller they do so possibly they are letting re-sellers trial it for their customers first before virgin support it. I would imagine business first would make sense as we tend to buy static IPv4 addresses so don't have to do CGNAT. Who resells VM connections?
