Deals on offer can also vary from day to day and even during the day. Some agents also appear more willing to search out the best available deal for you so sometimes needs more than one call. Re: Black Friday Upgrade Offer Good luck with escalation, In my experience, Managers have not wanted to get involved and promises of a ring back have seldom been honoured. What I have found is that ringing back on another day and speaking to a different agent can get a totally different answer. Re: Neighbours have Virgin Media Broadband but apparently I can't ? I was in a similar position about 20 years ago when I moved to a new house. The duct ran past the front of my house and the neighbours either side had connections. I had to settle for BT for 2 years until ntl agreed to do me a favour and pull in a cable from the cabinet. It took about an hours work as the house was already pre-wired. I was told it was just a policy decision to concentrate on existing customers and those properties that were already connected for a previous owner. Recently a relative could not get service because the Virgin duct in the street had been damaged and they did not want to dig up the footpath to repair it as existing users were still working. Classic case of "The computer says no." Re: Tripped over VM Cable on street I have never seen a cable installed like that. Re: Black Friday Upgrade Offer I have been a customer for years and been offered the same upgrade. As it is an upgrade to the next tier it cannot be fore new customers because they are not yet on a tier. The email also said that it would not affect my current contract price and duration, other than the extra after the 3 months free period, so again that would imply existing customers. I have not taken the offer as the volt and recent package upgrade already gives me more than enough speed. The 100M I had a couple of years ago was perfectly adequate, I am now on 350M so would not want to pay more after the free 3 months for something I don't need.
