Re: Unable to access email on mobile phone Can't log into emails on other device. Joys of being a VM customer....great service guys Unable to access email on mobile phone I can't get into my emails on my mobile phone but when I use an old phone, I can. I've deleted cookies etc and restarted my phone. I get the following message Oops - you can't do that right now We couldn't sign you in just now. Don't worry - it's just a quick pause to help keep your account safe. Try this Use a device you've signed in on before Try again from somewhere familiar If you're on a VPN, switch it off and have another go Still stuck? If this keeps happening, get in touch with us and we'll help sort it out Has anyone else got the same problem? It's a bit of a joke saying I'm not using a device I've used before because I can only get into emails by using a device I don't usually use. Is it a scam? Re: ''Profile Device'' Thanks for replies. Is there anyone from VM tech support here, who can tell us what's going on with this? Are our banking details safe? Why are they profiling our devices and what information are they taking off our devices? I'm now not comfortable logging onto my online bank account on this device so will fish out an old laptop. ''Profile Device'' I attempted to log into emails via VM website. Took forever; once clicked which address I wanted into, got the above message - profiling device. It was the same when using my mobile phone. I have ntlworld and virginmedia email addresses - same for each name. Why did I get this? Can someone get a hold of my banking details? I heard that scammers can copy your laptop keys as you type in banking passwords etc. Anyone else getting 'profiling device'? Re: Is VM getting rid of emails? 'thing' Re: Is VM getting rid of emails? Thank you for replies. So I can keep using my email addresses I guess. I will go through them all and delete spam type ones and load important ones onto an SD disc type think. I'm not too good with technical stuff. Re: Virgin.net email I had the exact same issues with my ntlworld.com and virginmedia.com email addresses, around the same time. Is VM getting rid of emails? When they had that issue with email a few months back, I logged a complaint (called ++). By the time they got back to me, everything was back up and running. I was not offered nor asked for, any sort of reduction in price etc. as I was just glad that things were working again. During the conversation, the complaints handler said that VM were going to stop email services, even for existing customers, from July 2024. Is this correct? She told me to get gmail addresses (I had to get one set up so that I could communicate legal matters while purchasing a property). I went straight back to my VM emails once they had resolved their tech issues. I have a number of VM email addresses - one for my work, one for amazon etc, one for family, one for legal stuff + a couple of others. It can't be that they want to remove my addresses only, as I didn't ask for compensation or could it be just my ones? Has anyone else heard about this?
