My elderly and not keeping to well mum was recently coming to the end of her contract and at the end of September agreed a new contract including 125mb Broadband and Mixit TV on her existing Tivo box for £26 a month for 24 months contract going up £3.50 each April. The addition of her phone number was going to make it more expensive and she agreed on the call that she would port her number out to a new provider just to retain her number and forward it to her mobile. The number was ported out before the agreed start of contract on 24th October but the initial bill was much higher but looking at it we thought that it would bounce back and mean she would not have to pay anything for a few months at least. The next bill has now been generated and she is being charged even more with no credit. The agents on chat have explained that it is a known issue in the back end as the port which was agreed at the time, has put a stop to the contract but it should be easily fixed. Despite this it has not been fixed and even as a last resort has put in her notice to leave in hope that this would trigger someone to contact her and sort out the mess. This has also not happened. It is causing her a great deal of stress and would politely ask if someone can contact me so that we can arrange some dialog with someone who can actually help without the constant back and forth and changes of prices she keeps getting offered which are now much more in cost for even less. Thank you in advance Please help Re: Nightmare ordering additional Flex box The severe lack of training and understanding from the call centre staff is blindingly obvious now. When it was just stream support for that was always difficult. They have so many products and different options only available on certain parts. The most annoying thing is the 360 box is not available at all in your area. Re: Adding Cinema to subscription It might be an offer coming soon. I would use caution when upgrading offers, I had TNT Sports for £5 a month for 18 months which was never honoured and took over 6 months and numerous credit rating strikes to get it sorted. I currently have Cinema on NowTV in UHD for £8.99 a month all in which is not even available on flex/stream Re: Adding Cinema to subscription Sky Cinema is currently £24.99 a month on flex. minus 10% so the monthly charge would be right. I have a stream box and find better value with NowTV packages compared to stream for anything other than essential entertainment. Re: Unable to manage Stream Box Try this direct link to manage stream. I have had to bookmark it as it was hard to find. https://www.virginmedia.com/support/help/tv/streaming The sad thing is that they seem to treat stream as a 3rd rate product and even when it goes down there is no way of testing it as it says I have no TV service with them. Re: Stream - do the packages ever go on sale? Just a word of warning, that if you do see something on 'sale' take photos or a video of what the offer is while you make the purchase. I have had months of incorrect billing on an apparent 18 month offer on TNT Sports. (which I have since cancelled) Patiently waiting on my 4th bill since then to see if it has finally been rectified. Re: TNT sport price query Just another update into this complete and utter farce, despite assurances following complaints and ‘help’ from the forum team due to them only amending the direct debit rather than the actual balance on account YET AGAIN my credit rating has been dropped for the second time although it was cleared last time, I am sick to the back teeth dealing with such incompetence. roll on January and I can just part ways. Something so simple has turned into a 4/5 month headache. never again Re: Adding streaming to an existing contract Stream is a standalone product which is only available to those without a main virgin TV package, you would have to add a multiroom subscription which would involve another box like the one you have being installed. Re: TNT sport price query Thanks Daniel I have done that, unfortunately the bounce back email says they will get back to me within 21 day. Very annoying as I was considering applying for car finance this weekend. So this complete mess over a £5 deal that you guys complete mucked up is making me look bad for longer. Annoyed would be an understatement to say the least. Re: TNT sport price query Yet another problem with this stupid situation. Because I had a late payment fee on my account, due to only the direct debit being changed and not the actual account it has now affected my credit score dramatically. I will 100% be leaving Virgin as soon as my contract is up. something so small has caused no end of grief - even after a complaint. Beyond useless.
