Regardless, excluding the speed issues, the Hub is still not working when trying to connect a WPS device as the button on the front of the hub is unresponsive. This leads me to believe that there maybe an inherent fault in the hub itself or its software, which in turn, could e leading to the speed issues could it not? Re: Help, Painfully slow wired speeds and wifi For as long as I can remember. Sometimes it hits around 948 Speed, sometimes It sits around the 400mb mark? I have also noticed that my hub is not working correctly! The WPS button does nothing, for example, unless I delve into the settings menu via the hub address and trigger it from there? Maybe it's the hub that's at fault? Anyway, I have just been ticking along hoping that things sort themselves out... Re: Help, Painfully slow wired speeds and wifi I tried but nothing changed Re: Help, Painfully slow wired speeds and wifi Tried to post the downstream upstream stuff but said invalid HTML stuff! Hello, Just a quick question about 1Gb Speeds Hello there, my Darlins I have a conundrum that has been bothering me for months now. When ever I do a speed test on SamKnows, I always get roughly the same result (see below) Now, before ya'all jump on me, I know this is not a bad speed by far, and I am satisfied that it gets the job done, but the thing is this is the speed I always get, no matter what time of the day I test... So off I went onto the internet, asking my mate google if they could shed any light as to why I never get the full 1gb, as seductively promised by VM, and then I found this (see below) This was someone else's speed, they posted over on that Reddit. As you can clearly see, the speed they get is how it should be, as promised by the VM wizards. So why oh why does mine never go beyond those 3, more than adequate, digits? Is it me, or is it you, come on VM, I know it's you :D Can anyone shed some light on this. Oh and also, my router, the one they gave me when I upgraded to the 1Gb speed, The WPS button just does not work, never has, nu uh! The only way I can get the WPS function to work is if I go into the routers settings, you know where the fairies live, and manually click the lil red button to make the magic happen, and yes I have tried resetting the router, unplugging it, I even tried to palm it off on a travelling gypsy, but none of this worked...tell me why VM....whyyyyyyyy? SolvedRe: Help, Painfully slow wired speeds and wifi This is my actual speed from my hub to my pc (hardwired not Wi-Fi) and I'm on the 1Gb package! Help, Painfully slow wired speeds and wifi Just started over the last few days. Have tried rebooting the hub twice, but nothing seems to work. Checked the Virgin website for issues in the area, but all I get is "We can’t connect to the broadband kit in your home" and a button to "contact us" I think our hub maybe faulty as I also noticed the WPS does not work either, and yes I looked under the hood and can see that WPS is enabled in the hubs settings.
