The one I had been asked to call never connected to anything except the message mentioned in my original post. Online contract renewal issue I recently renewed my contract online (8th Jan) but received an email (16th Jan) saying that as I have unpaid balance on my account the order can’t go ahead. I have been a customer for 20 years and pay by direct debit, never missing a payment. My next direct debit has gone out today and I have been charged a higher price as my new contract hasn't been activated. I was asked to call 0800 052 2180 to sort this out and rang on Saturday to get an answer phone message that they were closed and to ring back Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. I have tried to ring today, at 12:50pm, to get the same message that they are closed and to ring back Monday to Friday. Could someone please contact me to tell me how I am supposed to speak to the team who should be answering this number? Re: Landline not working I’ve had a visit from a great engineer who confirmed that there was a problem with my landline. As the landline was fitted over 20 years ago she moved me over to a fibre network connection for my phone, and checked my broadband was running properly as well while she was here. Re: Landline not working Hi, Thanks for your reply. The phone is plugged into the main master socket and is the only thing connected to the phone line. The phone is correctly seated on the base unit, powered on and batteries are handset are charged. No other handset is available to try. I seem to get an intermittent dial tone but can’t receive any calls. When I can get a call out the line is cracking and sometimes dropping out. Landline not working Hi, my landline is not working. I have no dial tone and incoming callers get an engaged tone. Service status says there is no problems and I can’t find anyway to report the issue through the website, it just keeps sending me round in circles to check the service status. The phone is charged and working fine. Could someone please help or let me know how I can contact Virgin media other than by phone. Thanks
