I'll let him know Re: Blueyonder email fault PS Found this https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/Help-recovering-a-deleted-email-account/td-p/5329116 and we had a go. My blueyonder email address is still valid, but when we go into My VM there is no option to add in another Virgin account (mine, the secondary one) Re: Blueyonder email fault Ah, OK, he hates talking to the call centre! 😂 He doesn't use the forum, though; is it OK if I send a private message or does he have to do it? He's the account holder, I'm not, you see Re: Blueyonder email fault So, further to my last post, what does he have to do to get my email back, just ring up? TY Re: Error connecting to POP3, SMTP and IMAP servers No problem, Tom, all done Re: Blueyonder email fault Hi I found out what the problem is and it's my hubby's fault 🙄 He had to speak to customer services on Monday to renegotiate our TV package to bring down the cost and decided he didn't want his blueyonder account any more as he doesn't use it, so he deleted it, and didn't realise it would also delete mine! 😒 I went on X yesterday to ask and they couldn't find my blueyonder email associated with our account. They said that's what he'd done, the dafty. Anyway, all that aside, I've been using Mozilla Thunderbird (the new version of Outlook doesn't like blueyonder, it doesn't recognise it as a valid email) and now and then it wouldn't connect to the server, timing out. I was thinking of chucking Thunderbird, anyway, as I don't like it. It had never asked for a password before, but that's obviously because it couldn't get onto the server! Re: Error connecting to POP3, SMTP and IMAP servers Hi I posted a message yesterday (you can move it to here if you like) as since yesterday morning my blueyonder email hasn't worked on either my laptop, phone or tablet and there's no connection to imap: Hi Is there a fault with blueyonder email? I'm getting this message: Login to server imap.virginmedia.com with username *******@blueyonder.co.uk failed. I type in my password, but it's not accepting it, and I know it's correct. I did a quick status check for area (BS16) and there are some issues with our telly broadband connections. Thank you Checked the status again this morning and now you can't connect to the TV kit, but I digress: I followed the instructions above and get this: curl -v smtps://smtp.virginmedia.com * Host smtp.virginmedia.com:465 was resolved. * IPv6: (none) * IPv4: 10.100.10.100 * Trying 10.100.10.100:465... * connect to 10.100.10.100 port 465 from 0.0.0.0 port 58370 failed: Timed out * Failed to connect to smtp.virginmedia.com port 465 after 21857 ms: Couldn't connect to server * Closing connection curl: (28) Failed to connect to smtp.virginmedia.com port 465 after 21857 ms: Couldn't connect to server I use Thunderbird email on my laptop (I didn't like the layout of the old Outlook and for some reason the new Outlook's not keen on blueyonder) and from time-to-time the connection drops, but this is the first time nothing's worked on my other devices for this long. Any assistance greatly appreciated! Blueyonder email fault Hi Is there a fault with blueyonder email? Thank you SolvedBeware of phishing emails from talktalk.net accounts Hi I've been getting a lot of phishing emails from fake talktalk.net accounts sending me Virgin 02 bills. These have been reported to phishing@virginmedia.com, report@phishing.gov.uk and phishing@talktalk.co.uk and I've blocked them. Be aware and don't open the attachments. Right pain in the ar53! (Apologies, didn't realise someone else has already posted about this. Not just me, then! 😁) Re: Strange email from Virgin_Media02 Hi I've just posted about this; sorry, I didn't see your post. I'm getting them, too, and have done what you did, also reporting it to phishing@talktalk.net
