Re: Main 360 box not connecting to 2nd 360 box Two 360 boxes Re: Box in other room will not play recordings The question was more about why I cannot access either box from the other room, without physically having to go to the 'other' box to turn it on i.e. out of standby. Re: Box in other room will not play recordings This applies even if both boxes are 'full' 360 boxes? Box in other room will not play recordings I have two 360deg boxes in different rooms, both connected by Hub 5 half way between them. Neither is ever switched off i.e. always on standby unless in use. Both work fine when watching live programs. There seems no logic which box is used for recordings. For example, when I get my listings magazine I am in the room with Box 1 and I go through the listings and set my recordings for the following week. When I go to play the recordings later, on Box 1, it sometimes works, but often I get a message that Box 2 is 'starting-up' and to try again. It never does start-up and I have to go to the other room and take Box 2 out of standby, then return to the other room where all will be well (until the next time). Sometimes it does the same thing but the other way round, but less often because I use Box 2 less often and almost never set recording from there. Before you ask: I never get a message saying I have tried to record too many programmes. I have tried all the usual 'tricks' such as switching either/both boxes off and on again and rebooting my Hub. Re: Handset - Not Thought Out Very Well! I agree. Basically it is too small. If like me, you use, mainly your thumb (male), the numeral buttons are touching each other. This requires using the thumbNAIL, so the white markings disappear (1, 6, 0 and Mute in my case). This would make it difficult for visitors to use as the digits are not 'raised' (as in braille) thus unmarked. The fast forward >> button is too close to the V channel-down button. Re: Main 360 box not connecting to 2nd 360 box Like the OP I have two 360 boxes. When not in use the box in the 'other' room is on standby. Sometimes the saved programme is on the box in the other room and when I try to access it, I get the red circle and an error message saying 'that the other box cannot be opened' or words to that effect. If I go to the other room and switch the box on then all works fine. The same happens in reverse if I am in the other room. They are both on wireless connection to a Hub 5 in the room in between them. The signal is strong. I have tried switching each box and the hub of and on after a while to no effect.
