With no mobile phone it is hard to get to speak to anyone from VM these days, as the last time I tried I got stuck on the automated menu which insists on me giving them a mobile number before I can proceed. VM is a horrible company to deal with on the phone. Obviously the TV Control app is of no use either. TiVo remote problems My TiVo remote keeps unpairing itself and nothing I do will fix it. I've reset it and it reconnects to the box, but within minutes the button response is really sluggish and eventually the light on the remote goes green again and it stops working completely. Then I have to reset it again. I've changed the batteries for new ones and all that happened was it unpaired itself and the issue started all over again. Is there a way to fix this or do I need to order a new remote? I don't want to be given the V6 pairing instructions, as that's all I've been able to find with a forum search, and neither do I want a box upgrade. Thanks. Re: Free TNT Sports/Eurosport offer. How? I never get any emails from VM about anything, unless it's a bill. If I hadn't renewed at a daft price for 18 months I would be cancelling, and wish I had done so in January! Incidentally, Daniel isn't dealing with this via PM, I sent him a message and he has not responded. Re: Free TNT Sports/Eurosport offer. How? I'm not really interested in paying even more money, especially as friends of mine have recently been given far better packages than me for less money than I pay! I was simply wondering why others have been offered this for free and whether or not I could take advantage of the offer as well, as I've had no email about it. Free TNT Sports/Eurosport offer. How? I recently renegotiated my contract in January and lost TNT Sport, as I could no longer afford it. Part of my reason to let it go was that I would have plenty of stuff on Eurosport that I watch often, from alpine skiing to snooker and I'm hooked on the motorcycle racing they have during the summer. And now of course I've lost even that! I was interested to read about people being given free TNT for the duration of their contract but I've not had any sort of email from Virgin. As I don't have access to the main VM website any longer (it doesn't work although this forum does) can I get this sorted without having to ring them? I went through a long and painful process over a fortnight or more trying to get retentions to sort things with my contract and don't want to have to go through all that again. Can anyone from the website team help? Thanks. Re: Cancellation email not received I can't get on to the VM website any longer. I cancelled by phone and was told I would get a confirmation, but haven't. As it took forever to get in touch with someone who could deal with me (at least so I thought) I haven't bothered trying to call them again. I can't handle going through multiple attempts to get through account security, being asked to repeat everything I say. Cancellation email not received I recently cancelled my services, after becoming frustrated with the brick wall that is VM customer services, and was told I would get a confirmation of cancellation email "hopefully within the hour". That was last week. I still haven't had my confirmation email and I want it please. I was sent an exclusive renewal offer email that doesn't work (no active link) and loggin in to the main website and clicking the link from there just takes me to a bot chat with a waiting time to speak to someone of half an hour. All I want to do is to get confirmation that I'm leaving at the end of my deal, as I wish, so I know exactly what my status is. It would also be nice if the various channels for contacting VM were able to talk to each other, as I've had contact on here and on X and neither can chase up my missing email, nor tell me anything about my contract offer! It is like trying to talk to the wall, getting things done with Virgin. The person on here has done their best, but long gone are the days when you could actually talk to VM, it seems! Re: Final early Disconnection fee of almost £400 You're not alone. I informed Virgin, via PM on this forum, I will be leaving at the end of my current contract only to find I'm being charged nearly £300 and I assume this is because I've somehow been put down as getting rid of all my tv and broadband and keeping my phone! I want to get rid of it ALL at the end of my contract, I'm not changing my package I am ENDING IT. Furious with this. Re: Retentions - Can someone help me please? My current package is £100 and a few pence. After giving my notice and wishing to end my services on January 11th, when my contract expires, I've been sent an email telling me my next bill be £135 AND THEN I am being caned for another £131 in January! This is ridiculous. I'm also told I have an ongoing "new package" of £29 a month! What the hell is going on? Re: Retentions - Can someone help me please? So that's that then. 16 years a customer and I was paying half the bill before then, from day one of Virgin Media and before that NTL etc, and I'm off because I can't get to talk to retentions in the UK. Daniel_Et did what he can but my new contract would be more than my old one, so it's time to go. A sad day really.
