I have Virgin Media on an old contract which just goes up once a year, inflation plus 3% I think. I do not wish to change this as all the packages seem to be only for 12 or 18months and then double in price. My account says that I am eligible for Volt but to take advantage of this would I have to come off my old contract?

Hi stevee1,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐
If you already have an O2 SIM then it would qualify you for Volt. Activating this doesn't change your contract status or price, it will just change your broadband speed to a Volt package and will upgrade you to the next tier (if you've not had a boost already in the past).
To activate this, you can do this via your My O2 account. Once you have opted in to receive the benefits, it can take up to 14 days to go live. the O2 benefits and VM benefits are applied separately and one can happen before the other. Either way, once they are applied you'll be notified by text from both parties.
Let us know if you have any further queries or questions.
Thanks,
