Has anyone cancelled their o2 sim and if so what happened to their VM package?

Up to speed

Hello,

I'm interested in finding out what has happened to peoples VM packages once they have cancelled their o2 sim.

There are several threads on what could happen or might happen but none (that I've found anyway) on what actually has happened to peoples VM packages.

Were you charged more for you VM package after cancelling your sim? If so how much? Was the increase immediate? How did you respond? Did you renegotiate or leave VM?

Please only reply if you have actually been through this process as there are far too many hypothetical threads on this subject already.

Thanks.

Hi asha_bristol,

Thanks for posting 🙂

If you do make a change to your Volt bundle, then this would affect both your services.

Hi Asha I haven't cancelled my sim but I was paying £29.32 a month for the sim so I contacted O2 and they have now reduced my sim to £15.00 a month that I am happy with.

If you cancel outside your contract (both o2 contract and VM) then you keep your speed boost unless you then go to change your package or recontract.

Look at the Volt T&C's - its spelled out in there - but they may have changed since I last read them.
