Tivo to V6 upgrade

I've just received a V6 box as my Tivo box has failed and screenshot below is part of the instructions I got but they are wrong as "Manage My Tivo +" just isn't there.  (How can Virginmedia be so crap giving out these instructions? What does it take to give your customer correct information about your own products?)

Anyway, I googled ways of doing this and found another Virginmedia site/link it it doesn't work now either.

So my question is, how do I get my series links transferred to another box?  Is there a working site I can go to as I think there is a time limit of around 14 days and after that the info will be gone for good.

Short answer. No, there isn't.

The copy settings facility was very buggy & temperamental, so was removed several years ago. It does not surprise me the instructions & webpages are still there, as is a load of other out of date content.

Hey murof, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to hear this.

As mentioned its not possible to transfer series links you would need to set them up again sorry.

Any recordings would also be lost.

yes I needed this facility recently.. I did not screen shot my 200+ series links and I am still missing ones and shows every now and then 😞 it used to be really useful and never did I get a bug with it either 😞
