TV Box keeps rebooting

Turned my box on this morning and the light is blinking amber, shows a downloading icon on the TV and keeps rebooting. This is all it keeps doing, turning the box off completely hasn't made a difference.

On a V6, you can try the following sequence which occasionally works. Try turning off the box using the switch on the back of the box; then on the front of the box hold down both the power button and the - (minus) button at the same time. Then turn on the box again whilst keeping hold of those buttons for a further 30 seconds.

If this fails, you should follow the usual faults reporting process. VM should arrange a tech visit with a view to replacing your V6.

Yeah, I gave that a try to no avail - really bizarre because the box was working the night before the issue was noticed so can't even be sure as to what might have caused it to happen.

The visit went really well, the engineer who visited us today helped out a great deal - he replaced the box in question and got us all up and running with a new box. In addition, he also took a look at our main V6 box as that one had been having some weird issues where channels weren't working and some were displaying pixelated images. As it turns out the root cause of that happened to stem from our signal cables having been split several times - once he'd changed it over to how it should be, all the issues were fixed so all in all, a very good visit!
