Hi Sloan52,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐
We're sorry to hear you're having issues with your V6 box. Renewing your contract wouldn't automatically come with a new box, it would all depend on whether you've requested an upgrade to the 360 service.
So we can help further with your fault, can you let us know what issues you're when trying to access your apps and/or recordings? Do you get any error message?
Is your V6 box connected via ethernet cable or through the WiFi?
Pop back and let us know so we can help further.
Thanks,

What happens if you try to view recordings without having rebooted your router?
The router provides an internet connection for streaming & OnDemand, but recordings are stored on your hard drive and don't need the internet.
There's no need to replace perfectly working equipment just because you've changed your package - also you'll lose all your recordings with a box-swap, defeating the point of hard drive storage for your recorded programmes.
Be aware the TV360 service mentioned in the staff reply, is a very different platform and may or may not be an upgrade depending on your usage. Let's get to the bottom of your V6 issues - it's a very reliable recording box.
