Hi,
Looking on the various TV bundles I can see references to a Paramount HD channel. Looking on my TV guide they aren't on the channel list. I already personally subscribe to Paramount+ so wondered what is available on Virgin TV and how to see them on the TV guide
Thanks

Old channel guides (which misleadingly are still available) show Paramount HD on channel 187, but the August 2024 channel guide has no reference to Paramount. Most of the content on that channel was moved to Paramount+ and the rest, I believe, to Channel 5’s linear channels of 5USA, 5Star and 5Action.

You must be referring to an old channel listing. Paramount HD stopped broadcasting in the UK in January 2022

Perhaps post a photo or screenshot of what you're looking at. That may help confirm what "it" is referring to.

Ahh thank you - the Channel list line up is confusing. Some of them even rendered as what looked like HTML code on my tablet.

Ahh, that pre-empts another question I was thinking of asking. I did not know that.
It seems VM have a two-tier system . I pay a lot for this service yet appear to be on old kit/ software.
I was invited to transfer for free on my box but it keeps saying it cannot process the order.
Thanks for your help

Not so much you are running "old" kit. VM is now owned by a far bigger cable entity (Liberty Global) that runs their own TV platform firmware. So VM are continuing to support the TiVO driven V6 kit as well as Liberty's Horizon driven V360. Hardware can be migrated between TiVO & Horizon, but voluntary migrations are a one way trip. The two operate in a totally different way so it's not a like for like change, & if you don't like the way Horizon operates you are then stuck with it.

To add to what nodrogd has already said, whether newer is better is always debatable.
In the case of TV360 vs TiVo-powered V6, what is better can very much depend what you use your V6 for. If you're predominantly a recordings-user or use the iPlayer, Netflix or Amazon Prime, then the argument for TV360 being better is very much an open one.
The only time that newer is definitively better is where it has functions unsupported on the "older" kit that you want. A search of this forum's past posts on TV360 vs V6, will give a flavour as to this debate.
