Could someone tell me what the media access key is used for please.

Settings, system info, media access key. 

It's important as it says do not share with others. I was curious to what it does

Hi Glenn P1,

This 'old' link might help, if it was so you could use your V6 with the TV anywhere app then you don't need it with the TVGO app which replaced the TV anywhere app.
