I have a DVR has detected a serious problem warning on a green screen. It says it will take up to 3 hours but it's still not working.

The green screen "DVR has detected an error" means your TiVo/V6 hard drive has failed, your box will need replacing.
You should contact TV faults to report the problem and arrange the tech visit, or wait on this forum if you don't mind an extra couple of days.
