Hi All,
I am using a projector to project picture of my virgin box. I have a sound bar that I have currently connected to the optical output of box and input of soundbar. the problem is that it doesn't work in 5.1 and has to be in stereo (I think due to the connection) which isn't a problem on Virgin as the sound does work when I switch to stereo sound on virgin, but when i switch to apps like Netflix and Prime video these seem to be 5.1 surround so the sound doesn't work. I can't use the HDMI port on the back of my box to the ARC port on the back of my soundbar because 1 I'm already using the HDMI port for the projector and 2 the port on the back of the box is not ARC so the sound doesn't come through. Any suggestions that will help me get the sound working as stereo across the other apps? Or another way to make the connection work in 5.1 sound?

Have you tried rebooting your set top box since you first discovered the problem? If you have, and you're still no further forward, have you tried contacting the provider of the sound bar?
