Audio syncing issue on Samsung Soundbar when watching from Virgin TV 360
I recently got a new Samsung TV and Samsung Soundbar (Samsung HW-S60B), and now there is an audio delay when I watch anything via the VM TV 360 box with the soundbar.
For example, if I watch Netflix via the app on the Samsung TV, the sound is fine.
If I watch Netflix or live TV via the Virgin Media TV 360 box, there is a sound syncing issue when using the Soundbar.
When audio is going through the TV (not soundbar), there's no issue.
As the soundbar works fine with the TV, it must be a Virgin Media TV 360 issue, right?
The soundbar is connected to the TV via HDMI eARC.
The TV has an audio delay setting which is supposed to help fix this but it doesn't seem to be able to adjust the delay enough to sync with the Virgin box output.
Can I adjust the audio from the Virgin box settings or do it in any other way?
I had exactly the same sync issue last year with my LG G2 TV and its matching GX soundbar, All content/apps on the TV perfectly in sync but out of sync when using the TV360.
Although the LG also has an audio sync adjustment for hdmi inputs it never seemed to get the video/audio sync quite right on the TV360, also had the same issues when I tried to use the audio delay feature of the TV360. The sync seemed to change when using different channels/content possibly due to some using mpeg audio and others dolby digital or maybe SD, HD, 4K processing.
The only thing that has worked and given no sync issues is setting the TV360 to the PCM 5.1 (HDMI only) audio option.
Potentially Netflix will bypass that setting but I just watch Netflix (and most other streaming channels) directly using the TV's apps
