colour washed out on some channels

Some programmes look washed out while others are fine. If I change colour settings on TV then the colours on some channels are too strong. Is something in settings changing the output?

Thanks for coming back to us @phammond2 on the VM forums.

May I ask if it's ben better since Thursday or has it been on and off?
Have you changed any of the cables?

Let us know.

Kind regards,
Ilyas.

still seems on and off like a matt picture and a gloss picture.changing tv settings doesnt help because it makes the good picture look to dynamic. Have not changed cables because picture is good most of the time?

This may be due to the content, from what you have advised it happens on the SD content more than HD and certain channels are impacted more than others. Do you have more than one set top box in the property? If so, do you experience the same on the other boxes (albeit a different TV)?

only one set top box. it is annoying when I know that some programmes look great and changing settings for poor programmes has negative effect on the good ones.

Hi @phammond2,

Thank you for expanding. Is it possible to try a new HDMI cable to ensure that this isn't potentially causing the problem for you?

Thanks,
