Verry irritating fan noise on my new Virgin 360 box

Can someone plkease tell me if there is a way to get rid of the constant fan noise coming form my new 360 box.

It was installed today and is much louder than the one it replaced. There is no way I can have a box making this much nopise while watching TV.



The only way to get rid of a noisy fan is to call Virgin on 150 from a Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to report a fault, or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.

When phoning choose the option to report a fault, then ignore all the options offered and you should then be placed into a queue to speak to someone.

Hi, thanks for following up.

We did indeed have a visit and had a new box installed. The new one is much better.

In case its useful for anyone, the old box was generating the irritating frequency at about 1900Hz (checked using a sound spectrum analyser app on a smart phone).

This frequency is completely missing in the new one.
