TV360 upgrade box query

I have two V6 boxes and requested upgrade to TV360, have now received box with two new remotes and new TV360 box to replace my TiVo box which I no longer have as was replaced with a V6 2 months ago due to fault. Which of my V6 boxes should I replace with new TV360 box and will my 2nd box update ok when TV360 installed?

When I "upgraded" my two V6 boxes both failed within a year. When they were replaced one of the boxes failed within 40 minutes. This was then replaced. The technician told me that most converted boxes fail within a year and that a "new" box might have been refurbished.

If you have been sent a 360 mini box to replace your old TiVo box I wouldn't replace either of them and go ahead with the 360 update, I expect both boxes will update but you won't know unless you try, by not using the mini box you will keep recording abilities on both boxes the mini has no hard drive.

Should the update not work for some reason on one box you can then swap it for the mini box.
