Multiroom New Install V6 Boxes Only?

Hi All, I am currently on a new build project for a client. As part of the AV build, the client wants Virgin TV Multiroom to three separate rooms in the house. The client wants three V6 boxes in the "plant room" feeding signals to the three rooms. We will be using the 4x4 HDMI Extender 4k UHD44-EXB400R-K by OREI to achieve this. We have had excellent results in the past with Orei gear.

My question is that can we even request three V6 boxes from Virgin on a "New Install"? Will they be happy to install the cabling to each box; I understand each V6 box rerequires it's own cable connection.

Thanks!

V6 TiVO? No, these are existing customers only not for new installs. All new installs are on the Horizon V360 system only. You get one "master" box containing a 1Gb hard disk. The multiroom boxes are slave boxes & just act as streamers for recordings on the main box. The only thing they do separately is select live channels & access app content.

Hi @devrasan1

In addition to @nodrogd 's excellent advice. If the new build is in a Full Fibre(XGSPON)  area then the premises will only be unable to have the TV360 box(es)  TV360 boxes need RF signal over Coax which isn't compatible with XGSPON

In Full Fibre (XGSPON) areas the TV service is streamed, so the client would be provided with the Flex (Stream) TV service  which doesn't require the additional internal coaxial cabling for each box as it carries the TV signal over the internet. These boxes don't have hard drives for recording purposes.

You should input the postcode on the following page to check which services are available for the property.

If the checker says it isn't available then have a word with Sales on 0800 183 6408 or the New Build Team.

If the property is in an XGS-PON area then only broadband is currently available, and TV can only be obtained with Flex (formerly Stream) boxes. No recording is possible. A subscription to Mega TV will enable up to six boxes to be installed, and an Ethernet connection is possible (best). The plant room can house the hub but I see no benefit at all in having the Flex boxes in that plant room as you will be running Ethernet cabling to each TV room.

Edit - just seen you post on Reddit.
If you do it that way it could work.
Existing V6 customers can add up to 5 additional V6 boxes. You should be able to do it during the move.
