Dolby atmos on tnt ultimate

I cannot get a Dolby Atmos commentary on channel 531. I used to when it was BT.

I do get Dolby Atmos on sky uhd channels when available, as watching the 17:30 footy match today.

Has TNT stopped Dolby atmos on virgin channel 531 or is it a technical issue at virgin control?

I have noticed on recent premier league and champions league games that Dolby Atmos hasn't been available, someone else has posted about it not on the rugby as well. I have seen a post on the Sky community about no Dolby Atmos but that was dated August, Discovery Sports (TNT) website still says;

TNT Sports Ultimate offers fans selected coverage in up to 4K picture resolution with high dynamic range (HDR), presenting images and colour in cinema-level quality and Dolby Atmos sound.

Whether it's a technical issue at either Virgin or TNT is anybody's guess.

I noticed on the Newcastle vs man utd game tonight it wasnt in atmos. Either a technical issue or they've stopped broadcasting atmos on tnt ultimate. It'll probably come back again in a week with no explanation.

Yes not in Dolby Atmos tonight, I think they should have called the game off until it can be with Dolby Atmos or until we can sort the team out, can't blame Dolby Atmos for that tonight not sure how Newcastle didn't have the game won in the first half.

Sometimes TNT now use Digital dolby for some games since the rebrand however this still use atmos on some.

was it just on this Newcastle game or have you noticed it on others? Cheers

Bttv users in their own forums report that Dolby Atmos seems to be an occasional feature rather than the norm now.
