Channels 103 & 104 pixelation

Tuning in

Just transferred over to 360 on both our V6 boxes but channels 103/104 pixelating badly. Checked freeview on TV and working fine which suggests it’s an issue with Virgin Media 360 signals for these channels. Unwatchable at the moment and no issue previously on V6 boxes prior to switchover to 360. Anyone else having these issues in Edinburgh area?

Think its just coincidence that it happened with the upgrade. I'm near Birmingham and channel 527 started pixelating badly at 6:50 and is still doing it. Also channel 104 is breaking up as well. 103 is OK but that will be local and hence different to yours so we can't compare.

Checking diagnostics for 527 and 104, there are no RS errors which implies the fault is with the actual transmission and is not a signal/installation problem at my end.

Can you check the diagnostics for channels 103 and 104 on yours?

Pixellated pictures on live TV are often the sign of a signal fault. If you've rebooted your box once, then there's likely a fault somewhere, so this will need VM to intervene. You're likely to need either an engineer visit or a replacement box, depending on what VM's remote diagnostics turn up.

First check the automated faults line for any existing issues in your area that could be the cause: 0800 5610061. If nothing's reported, assume VM don't know about your fault and ideally you'll need to call them.

150 from a VM phone, 0345 4541111 from any other phone - choose the options for "I have a fault with my TV service". Alternatively you can wait on here for staff to respond, which may take a day or so..

Hi DavieGrant,

Thanks for posting and sorry to see you've had some issues with your TV channels.

We were aware of an issue with this earlier in the week, but this has since been resolved.

If you're still having problems with it please let us know.
