My mother has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and she is struggling to remember how to change channels.
The guide is a definite no no.
We have put an orange sticker on the microphone button and tell her to press the orange button and say the channel number. We have given her a list of times and channels.
She is still struggling.
is there anyway that we can set programmes/channels to automatically turn over when the programme starts. This used to be previously possible.
im sure my mother is not the only person in this position.
thanks

Thanks Molly,
Could the tv app be installed on our phones and would we remotely be able to change the channel on her box whilst not being in her house?
thanks

Hey @bd,
With this you would only be able to change the channel whilst on the same network as the TV box, this would not work outside of the house, I will make sure this is passed along with the other feedback to see if this is something we could implement in the future.

Thanks, seems a bit of a pointless option.
Appreciate you passing it on. Thanks

Thank you Molly_T it would be wonderful if you could raise this point with powers that be.It would be a great addition to the 360 as it is one of the main features of the V6 and Tivo boxes that we enjoyed.
Originally you could set a reminder and the channel would change automatically. On the V6 box you had to set a record and remind for it to change automatically.
A bit of a faff but still worth the effort .
It would be great if that function could be brought out on the 360 boxes.
Many thanks in advance......🤞🤞

It is correct that the V+ was the last box where the channel could be changed automatically with a reminder. This was because one of the three onboard TV tuners was dedicated for viewing only. With the TiVO/V6 onward all onboard tuners could be set to record, meaning there is no longer a "free" tuner to switch over to the channel required. This is complicated by V360 operating on centralised box system.

If that is the reason then there is hope that a software update could bring this functionality back. We now have 6 tuners, surly we could assign one to “ live tv “ if that was how it was achieved. Hopefully some clever person can find a software solution to this. Pretty please 🙏

Very unlikely. Horizon, that runs V360 is owned by Virgin's parent company & is now in it's 4th generation. The mini multiroom boxes (you can have 2) cannot record, & rely on the main box both for recordings & live pausing of more than a few minutes. Therefore 6 recording tuners is a real must have with V360.

Thank you @verysadbugger for popping back to us, we've passed this back to the relevant teams as it a very valid idea.
If the app can be updated in the future for this then it would be provided as an update through the app store, although currently there a not plans for this update just so you are aware.

Thank you Ashleigh_C for the reply. Can i ask that your teams do have a look as it is a backwards step in the functioning of the system otherwise. It does seem silly that the " new and improved " system lacks some of the attributes of a system from 10 years ago ?
