Hi,
I just got a 360 box in my bedroom and can't get the remote to control the tv. I have been on the settings and tried that way, I've tried holding tv and 0 and I've tried factory resetting the remote. When I do go into setting to try pair it that way, it knows my tv is Toshiba but it tells me it can't find my model number? It's not an old tv either.
I get the box in the top right corner saying it's now paired and I can use it to control the volume etc but it just doesn't work?
My box downstairs didn't have any issues pairing so I'm not sure why I'm having issues with those one.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Some users have said that replacing the batteries in the remote has helped. Try taking the batteries out for a couple of minutes and then repairing to the 360 by pressing the TV + 0 button until the light on the front of the 360 flashes, sometimes resetting the remote updates the list of supported devices.
If that doesn't work you could try putting the box in pairing mode;
On the remote control, press and hold the 'TV' button and the 'Rewind' button together for 10 seconds, the remote control should now have unpaired from the box.
Put the box into 'Pairing Mode' by pressing the Standby/On button on the front of the box for 10 seconds. On the remote control, press and hold the 'TV' button and the '0' button together for 10 seconds. A message should appear on the screen confirming that pairing was successful. 🤞

Hi,
I did try all of that before posting here as I seen those as possible answers on other threads but nothing seems to work!

I'd also like to point out that it says my virgin remote is paired to my tv. It says I can use it to turn it up/down and on/off but when I press those buttons, nothing happens.

If the downstairs TV is paired correctly to the 360 then try swapping the remotes or 360 boxes around to see if that allows you to pair the bedroom TV and 360 box.
What is the actual model number for your Toshiba TV? eg 43UF3D53DB or 65QA5D63DB - Normally the first 4 characters after the screen size are recognised.
Have you tried the key testing method?
Audio & Video > Pair remote with devices > TV devices
Don't just accept the first one that appears to work. Try a few more as (like the older V6 and Tivo boxes) there are often 3 or 4 that will work, some more fully than others.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply! The model number is 50UF3D53DB, I tries using the first 4 and the first 4 after the screen size but it's just not recognising it at all for some reason. Like I said, it knows it's a Toshiba tv and it says I can use the virgin remote to control it but it doesn't work 😂
I've tried the key testing umpteen times and it's just keep sending me round and round in the same circle, haha. "press OK to test mute" did that work? "no" it repeats until eventually it asks for the model number which it won't accept, it's driving me mad to be honest, haha.
Will trying swapping the boxes/remotes tomorrow to see if that works 🤞🏻

Update: I tried swapping remotes/boxes and still no luck.
I just don't understand why I get the pop up box saying I can control my Toshiba tv using the virgin remote but it doesn't actually do anything. It's very frustrating because I tend to misplace my remotes so having to use 2 is double the chance of misplacing, haha but if there really is no other way I guess I'll just have to get on with it 😂

Are both TV's the same make and model, if they are not then swapping the boxes hasn't really proved anything.
It might just be that the 360 is recognising that the TV is a Toshiba but the model number codes haven't been set up depending on how new the TV is.
If using the key testing method doesn't work then you might need to wait until the codes have been updated, some users have posted that even though the key testing has worked it then doesn't work when you exit the testing.

Hi again @DG104
Although it's a Toshiba TV it's actually manufactured by Vestel, so try Vestel as the TV brand and F3D5 as the model number.
