Good day.
is there any tech persons who can look at my TiVo box please.
symptoms
reboots itself watching YouTube
reboots itself watching recorded shows
fails to record things, only get partial recordings, and they don’t recover once it’s reset
been ongoing about 3 weeks
phoned and spoke to someone abroad, who was adamant that a router reset and a TiVo reset will fix everything and even recover failed partial recordings, which is completely untrue.
find it so difficult to speak to someone.
same symptoms approx 5 years ago box was replaced.
its also getting very hot which is worrying.

Sounds like you've experienced one of the poorer offshore CS agents.
A rebooting TV box is not normal, but TiVo boxes are quite elderly by current standards. I'd recommend calling back and speaking to someone else!
The correct outcome here is a tech visit with a view to your box being replaced. TiVo's are now replaced with V6 as a matter of course - same software, but much newer & quicker hardware, providing you have VM home broadband.

New box is useless.
crashed on Netflix
failed to record cadwell park bsb on Eurosport Sunday 25/08
box was dead had to be rebooted.
this is 3 weekends I’ve had where virgin hasn’t recorded what I’m paying for.
absolutely fed up.
if it can’t be resolved quickly I’ll cancel. I’ve been a customer 20 years and this is just dire.
not impressed, grateful of being able to receive what I’m paying for.
